Meet the Author
Margaret Donald
There’s something rather wonderful about publishing a new children’s book at the age of 87!
Margaret’s storytelling began during her childhood in wartime Inverness, when books were in short supply and she entertained her younger siblings by simply making up stories of her own.
She went on to become an early years teacher, working in both the UK and the US, and later helped to train future early years teachers.
And all these years later, she is still creating stories for children. The inspiration for her newest character was waiting just down the street: a little robot mower bought by one of her neighbours to help with the lawn. Before long,
Otto had mowed his way straight into Margaret’s imagination… and a new adventure had begun.
